Speaking of watches, I am looking for something new to wear with my usual winter uniform of dark reds/navy blues with charcoal slacks and dark brown belt and shoes.

I currently have one of these:

But I would prefer something with a less-busy dial. I'd also like to have a black/grey face rather than blue now.

Anything like that spring to mind? Know anywhere to look other than Amazon?

I think they are overpriced for what they are even thought they are gorgeous. Maybe I am just poor but paying $625 for a quartz watch seems crazy to me. And the one I posted uses the same movement but is like $259. So what am I paying for?

You are correct, I hadn't really looked into the price of those, that really is a bit too much for a meca-quartz. But it looks really good, the new blue one is incredible.

Damn you Oppo! You made me want to get a watch, again....

Currently looking at some cheap Tissot watches. I'm looking at models in the Tradition collection, they sell them for around 360€ in France, and they are really good looking and super easy to wear (they are light, perfect shape for me, ...)

I wanted to get something French and made in France, but they are either quite expensive, or don't have the greatest quality. I would have loved a Yema Rallygraf (and they make them in Besançon, where my family is from), but quality isn't great apparently on the newer models...
